Gospel Sing at the St. Luke & Odd Fellows Hall

Join the Blacksburg Museum & Cultural Foundation for the third Annual Gospel Sing, part of the New Town Festival series, June 3 from Noon-5 p.m. at the St. Luke & Odd Fellows Hall, 203 Gilbert St. The afternoon will be filled with singing, dancing, and fellowship as local groups and soloists perform their favorite current and old-time gospel favorites.

The event is free, though donations are encouraged. Food and beverage will be available for purchase. Back by popular demand, Chef Richard Perry will offer a traditional fish fry.

Former residents of New Town – an African American neighborhood in Blacksburg during the time of segregation – will participate in a panel discussion to share what life was like living in New Town.

Sponsored by the Virginia Tech Foundation, Downtown Blacksburg Inc., and the North End Center.
