Most apartment and townhouse complexes provide private trash service to their tenants. Check with the complex's property manager to determine the details of service. Apartments are required to provide recycling services to their tenants according to Section 20-403 of the Town Code. The Town of Blacksburg is a resource for apartment refuse and recycling services. Property managers or tenants who are interested in starting or expanding recycling services, please contact the Refuse and Recycling office at (540) 961-1806 or at recycle@blacksburg.gov. All apartments not using town service are required to submit disposal rates to the town on a semi-annual basis according to Section 20-142 of the Town Code.
