Citizens are invited to a public reception on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Blacksburg Municipal Building lobby, (prior to the regularly scheduled Town Council Meeting), for recognition and appreciation of three retiring members of Blacksburg Town Council: 

• Mayor Ron Rordam for 21 years of service as a member of Town Council and 12 years as Blacksburg’s Mayor 
• Councilwoman Krisha Chachra for eight years of service as a member of Town Council, including two terms as Vice Mayor
• Councilwoman Cecile Newcomb for eight years of service as a member of Town Council 

Special presentations can be made at the beginning of Town Council’s meeting at 7:30 p.m.
