The Housing and Community Connections (HCC) Office supports and provides a variety of resources to help citizens obtain, keep, and maintain housing.

The HCC Office administers two U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs, the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and the HOME Investments Partnerships program. The CDBG program works to ensure decent affordable housing and to provide services to the most vulnerable in our community. The HCC Office serves as the lead entity for the HOME program which assists with the construction, buying, and rehabilitating of affordable housing for rent or homeownership.

The HCC Office administers the enforcement of nuisance codes (debris/trash, overgrown lawns, inoperable vehicles, etc.) within the Town of Blacksburg in a proactive manner to eliminate neighborhood blight.

The HCC Office works to develop partnerships with neighborhoods and organizations to improve the quality of life of Blacksburg’s residents.
