Crossties (Bluegrass)

The final Friday Night Out Concert of the Virginia Tech/Town of Blacksburg Summer Arts Festival 2018 will summon tranquil memories of cool mountain evenings and tall tales when the Crossties Bluegrass Band gear up for an evening of phenomenal entertainment!

The "music of the mountains" will fill the air on Henderson Lawn when Crossties begins playing and singing! You definitely will not want to miss one minute of their performance as this extraordinarily gifted and talented group of musicians wind their way musically "along the Crooked Road." 

Crossties is a bluegrass band from Blacksburg, Virginia and was founded in 1990. The band members include:  Craig Willoughby - mandolin, vocals; Craig Counts - guitar, vocals; Tim Mills - banjo; Tom Snediker - guitar, vocals; Gerry Skenderian - bass, vocals; Pete Hastings - harmonica; and Avery Davis - fiddle.

Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, picnics, and families for a warm summer evening of music on the Virginia Tech Campus in Blacksburg, Virginia!  (Rainsite:  Old Dominion Ballroom, Squires Student Center.)
