The Engineering and GIS Department has received a request by Javad Torabinedjad to change the name of Chickahominy Drive to Givens Lane. The request is to improve navigation by reducing the name changes that have no true intersection. Street name changes require review by Blacksburg's Planning Commission and final approval by the Blacksburg Town Council.

Neighborhood Meeting: Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, 6 p.m. in the Blacksburg Motor Company Building at 400 S. Main St.

Planning Commission Public Hearing: Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018, 7:30 p.m. in the Roger E. Hedgepeth Chambers, Second Floor of the  Blacksburg Municipal Building at 300 S. Main St.

Town Council Public Hearing: TBD - The Town Council will schedule the public hearing after the Planning Commission makes a recommendation to council. Please visit www.blacksburg.gov for updated schedules.
