The Blacksburg Planning and Building Department has received a request for a Conditional Use Permit on behalf of Freedom First Credit Union for the construction of a new financial institution with a drive-through and external speakers at 2701 Prices Fork Road. The subject lot is 0.76 acres and located in the PR Planned Residential zoning district, which allows a financial institution with drive-through with a conditional use permit. The applicant proposes the demolition of the existing gas station and car wash structures on the site and the construction of a new 2-story Freedom First Credit Union. The drive-through is proposed to consist of two lanes and a dedicated lane for an external ATM. The Future Land Use Designation in the Comprehensive Plan for this parcel is High Impact Commercial.
A Neighborhood Meeting will be held on Thursday, February 28 at 5:30pm in the large conference room of the Blacksburg Motor Company building, 400 South Main Street. This will be an informal meeting that will give the applicant the opportunity to present the plans and provide attendees with the opportunity to ask questions.
Please view the application and all upcoming meetings on the Public Hearings tab under the project number on the Town of Blacksburg website.
