Out of an abundance of caution, Downtown Blacksburg Inc.’s (DBI) summer event, Summer Solstice Festival, is cancelled. This event was originally scheduled for Saturday, June 20th in downtown Blacksburg. DBI board of directors, staff and volunteers did not make this decision lightly and feel that it is not appropriate to have the event as planned. We are currently devising an online, virtual celebration in lieu of the event. Please visit www.downtownblacksburg.com to follow the online celebration as it unfolds. More details will be furnished soon. All vendors who submitted payment for this event will be given the option of a refund or to donate their vendor fee to a local charity or non-profit in Blacksburg. Thank you all for understanding.
