Neighborhood Meeting to discuss the recently submitted applications for Midtown Development at 501 South Main Street and surrounding areas.
RZN20-0002; RZN20-0003 and CUP20-0003
Midtown Redevelopment Partners LLC has submitted a request to amend the rezoning of the Midtown Development approved in May of 2019 rezoning 21 acres (Old Blacksburg Middle School) to the Downtown Commercial (DC) and Planned Residential (PR) zoning districts. In addition to the rezoning amendment (RZN20-0002), the applicant has filed a Conditional Use Permit for additional height (CUP20-0003) above 60' on a parcel in the development located between Clay Street, Church Street and Midtown Way. A Special Signage District (RZN20-0003) for the development has also been filed.
A neighborhood meeting will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 6:30pm in the Roger E. Hedgepeth Chambers on the 2nd floor of the municipal building at 300 South Main Street. Social distancing measures will be in place. The meeting will be broadcast live on Comcast Cable, WTOB Channel 2 or you may stream it live here. Comments may be submitted via letter or email.
