Zoning Ordinance Amendment #58/Ordinance #1969-Amendment to Section 1109 regarding the zoning of land brought into the Town limits through a corporate Boundary Line Adjustment
Section 1109 of the Zoning Ordinance comes into play when a Boundary Line Adjustment occurs and there is a request by a landowner that the boundary between Montgomery County and the Town of Blacksburg be moved to bring the property into Town. Boundary Line Adjustments require both jurisdictions to agree to the boundary change. Section 1109 governs how a zoning classification is applied when a new property or territory comes into Town. This zoning text amendment to Section 1109 would clarify and update the process by which boundary adjusted properties receive a zoning district classification within the Town of Blacksburg.
