Vintage Market

April - November, Market Square Park

Shop at the Blacksburg Vintage Market at Market Square Park on the second Sunday of every month from April thru November from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the best selection of vintage vinyl, clothing, jewelry, books, housewares, oddities, and who knows what else.

About once a month the Farmers Market hosts tastings and other special events during Saturday market hours.

Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday before Easter Sunday, Municipal Park

Come to this free event at Municipal Park in spring for children eight years and younger. Bring your Easter basket to collect eggs, and a camera to capture that magical moment with the Easter Bunny.

Arbor Day

April, Blacksburg Parks and Recreation office, 615 Patrick Henry Drive

Calling all volunteers! Come help make Blacksburg greener by planting trees on town-owned properties. Bring a shovel and get ready to get dirty. Individuals and groups are welcome.

International Street Fair

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to experience 30 countries in one day? Then check out the International Street Fair hosted by the Cranwell International Center at Virginia Tech held in April in Downtown Blacksburg.

Mingle at the Market

August - September, Market Square Park

Get to know your neighbors at Mingle at the Market at Market Square Park. Held on a Wednesday market day June - August, 5-6:30 p.m., the mingle features local beer and wine, live music, and of course all of your favorite market offerings.

Market Square Jam

June - September, Market Square Park

Blacksburg’s Market Square Jam is an official Crooked Road affiliated venue that provides fun and entertainment on Wednesday evenings, June through September. The jam takes place at Market Square Park from 7-9 p.m.

Friday Night Concerts

June -  July, Henderson Lawn

Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, picnics, and families for a warm summer evening of music on the Virginia Tech campus. Henderson Lawn is located at the corner of North Main Street and College Avenue. Concerts are Fridays in July, 6-7:30 p.m.

Art and Breakfast at the Market

July, Market Square Park

Come celebrate Blacksburg’s vibrant arts community by visiting Art & Breakfast at the Market. Downtown Blacksburg, Inc. hosts Art at the Market, Blacksburg’s celebration of fine art and artists. Breakfast, a family event featuring wonderful locally grown food, live music and the best produce the farmers have to offer is hosted by Friends of the Farmers Market. Make it a family affair and take in some art along with your breakfast.

Steppin' Out

First Friday and Saturday in August, Downtown Blacksburg

Steppin' Out, held the first Friday and Saturday in August, features over 200 artists and crafts people from around the United States selling unique handcrafted items – jewelry, pottery, textiles, metal work, basketry, stained & fused glass, yard art, fine art, furniture, toys, artisan foods and more.

Downtown Blacksburg Halloween Events

October, Downtown Blacksburg 

Held in late October every year, participating businesses between Eheart and Faculty Streets offer trick or treating, along with fun activities and games on College Avenue.

Annual Holiday Parade

First Friday in December, Downtown Blacksburg

The Annual Holiday Parade is a festive way to end the year in downtown Blacksburg. The Parade line up will be staged on Prices Fork and Stanger Streets. The inclement weather date is the first Saturday in December.
