Schedule a Special Pickup

Residents wishing to dispose of brush, debris or bulky rubbish outside the scheduled pick up time must schedule a special pickup. Special pickups are provided to trash customers outside of the fall and spring cleanups. There is a $75 prepaid charge per dump truck load. Pickups are every Friday excluding holidays. The $75 has to be prepaid by the Wednesday of the week you would like the pickup. Payments can be made over the phone at 540-443-1060 using a Visa or MasterCard or in person at the cashier's window on the second floor of the Municipal Building at 300 S. Main Street.

Hazardous Household Waste Day

The Montgomery Regional Solid Waste Authority is hosting a Household Hazardous Waste event at their facility, located at 555 Authority Drive, Christiansburg Virginia from 9 AM to 2 PM on Saturday April 8th. Please call (540) 381-2820 to schedule an appointment. This event is open to all residents of Montgomery County.

No commercial waste or commercial vehicles will be permitted. This program is sponsored by MRSWA

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) is any unwanted household product labeled as flammable, toxic, corrosive, or reactive. The most common products include aerosols, anti-freeze, fertilizers, motor oil, paint supplies, photo chemicals, poisons, and solvents.

NO electronics, batteries, or paper shredding.

Unusable latex paint should be dried in its can using kitty litter or sand. Once dry, the entire can should be disposed of in the trash.
