The Office of Housing and Community Connections administers the enforcement of nuisance codes within the Town of Blacksburg. The office handles both complaint-based and proactive-based code violations. The nuisance issues that the inspector generally handles are:

  • Debris
  • Overgrown lawn/weeds
  • Trash carts remaining at the curb after trash collection
  • Sidewalk snow removal
  • Inoperable vehicles
  • Encroachments on public rights of ways, such as overgrown hedges blocking sidewalks
  • Missing address numbering

Please visit www.tobweb.org/ayr/ to submit a complaint electronically or contact the Code Inspector directly at (540) 443-1612.
